YouTube's Partner Program rules change on February 1, 2027 — including a recurring 10M-views bar that applies to already-monetized channels. Enter your numbers and see where you stand, what your views pay, and what it would take to match that with direct sales.
An ebook, template pack, preset bundle — anything you could sell to the audience you already have.
Shorts ad revenue — 10,000,000 qualified views every rolling 90 days
5,000,000 views short per 90 days. From Feb 1, 2027, Shorts ad and subscription revenue pauses below this line and resumes when you cross it again — this applies to already-monetized channels too.
New-applicant Shorts entry bar — 20,000,000 views in 90 days
15,000,000 views short of the new-applicant requirement (up from 10M today). Channels that qualify before Feb 1, 2027 are admitted under the current, lower bar.
At publicly reported Shorts RPM of $0.01–$0.10 per 1,000 views, your 5,000,000 views correspond to roughly:
Estimated Shorts ad revenue / 90 days
$50 – $500
midpoint ≈ $275
Direct sales that pay the same
≈ 11 sales
of a €25 product (2–20 across the RPM range)
20,000,000 Shorts views pays roughly $200–$2,000. 44 sales of a €25 digital product pays the same.
Estimates only. RPM ranges are publicly reported industry figures (they vary by niche and geography) — not a guarantee of any earnings. USD converted at ~$1 ≈ €0.92. Sales figures use AOVANCY's terms: we pay you 92.5% of the list price on every sale. This page is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube.
Partly. Existing partners are grandfathered on the entry requirements, but the recurring Shorts rule applies to everyone: from February 1, 2027, earning ad and subscription revenue on Shorts requires 10 million qualified Shorts views over the trailing 90 days, re-checked on a rolling basis. Fall below and Shorts revenue pauses until you cross the line again. Long-form earnings are unaffected.
New applicants to the YouTube Partner Program will need 1,000 subscribers plus either 8,000 qualified public watch hours in the last 365 days (up from 4,000) or 20 million qualified Shorts views in the last 90 days (up from 10 million). Existing partners must also review and accept YouTube's updated monetization terms by that date to keep earning.
YouTube requires all partners to review and accept updated monetization modules in YouTube Studio by February 1, 2027. Channels that don't accept in time stop earning until they do — this applies to grandfathered channels as well. Check YouTube Studio for the official notice and deadline details.
The RPM range ($0.01–$0.10 per 1,000 Shorts views) reflects publicly reported industry figures from creator-analytics companies; actual RPM varies widely by niche, geography, and season. The figures are estimates for comparison only, not a guarantee of earnings. The direct-sales math uses AOVANCY's terms: we pay you 92.5% of the list price on every sale, with no monthly fee.
